City’s ‘Curbside Enthusiasm’ animated series to help residents with new organics green cart

The City of Lethbridge has released a new creative way to help residents learn more about their curbside organic program that will be rolling out next month.

An animated series called ‘Curbside Enthusiasm’ is on the City of Lethbridge YouTube channel and the eight episode series will share tips and tricks to help answer any questions residents may regarding their new green carts.

Green organic carts will be rolling out to curbs starting in April for those residents who still currently receive blue and black cart collections.

Around 32,000 households will be getting their new green organic cart between mid-April to early May, with the first collection date set for mid-May.

Residents will be seeing their first $5 charge for the organics program on their May utility bill.

Phase 1 of the curbside recycling program saw around 1,900 residents using these new green carts and they provided feedback to the city to help shape the city-wide roll out.
