The City of Lethbridge is looking to recruit members of the community for the Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy (CWSS) Advisory Committee.
The CWSS Advisory was created in 2020 and is made up of key community partners as well as sector leaders. These members provide knowledge, experience, and different perspectives to support the 5-year plan to improve the well being and safety of the city.
Committee members use their expertise to make recommendations on funding allocations for social services within the community. The CWSS Advisory Committee is coordinated by the City’s Community Social Development Department.
Currently the committee is looking to fill multiple positions with members of the community who have a focus on the Indigenous sector, faith, lived experience, criminal justice, senior, youth and housing.
Anyone looking to apply should have previous experience in strategic planning, leadership, board and or governance and experience in their chosen sector.
Members of the committee are also expected to attend monthly meetings and have an understanding of the Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy.
Applications are being accepted until Wednesday, March 29 at 4:30 p.m.
More information about applying and the committee is available on the city’s website.
