Milk River emergency room to temporarily close

The Milk River emergency room will be closed for the rest of the week, starting on March 29 at noon.

Alberta Health Services says the closure is due to a lack of physician coverage and the department will reopen at 8 a.m. on April 3. Staff will remain on site to care for long-term care residents during the closure.

“AHS is working hard to ensure local residents continue to have access to the care they need during this time,” reads a news release from AHS.

Emergency calls will be rerouted to Lethbridge and Raymond.
