Parks and Cemeteries team providing free roses on Mother’s Day

The City of Lethbridge Parks and Cemeteries team will once again provide a free rose to those visiting a loved one on Mother’s Day.

The city began the initiative in 2018 for Mother’s and Father’s Day and it ran again in 2019 and 2022, after receiving positive feedback from residents and visitors. It wasn’t able to run in 2020 and 2021 due to restrictions and social distancing.

Roses will be available for the first 300 visitors and can be picked up beside the Mountain View Cemetery office at 1210  Scenic Drive South on May 14, starting at 10 a.m. They will be available either until they run out or 1 p.m.

Staff will also offer flowers on Father’s Day on June 18.
