Coaldale Chamber of Commerce to hold Taber-Warner all candidate forum

The Coaldale Chamber of Commerce will host a forum for all provincial election candidates running in the Taber-Warner riding. The forum will be hosted on May 18 at the Gem of West Museum, starting at 7 p.m.

“We want to ensure that our candidates answer questions important to business and community members,” says Robert Woolf, president of the Coaldale Chamber. “The Taber- Warner district, of which Coaldale is a part of, has a strong voice which needs to be heard.”

The event will be moderated by Wayne Street and Derek Connick, the Chamber’s political advocacy chair and will explore issues such as economic stability, affordability, healthcare and education.

Residents can submit questions for the forum to [email protected] before the event and pre-selected questions will be asked before a brief question and answer period with the audience.

There are six candidates running in Taber-Warner: Brent Ginther with the Solidarity Movement of Alberta, Paul Hinman with the Wildrose Loyalty Coalition, Jazminn Hintz with the Alberta NDP, Joel Hunt with the Green Party of Alberta, Grant Hunter with the United Conservative Party and Frank Kast with the Independence Party of Alberta.

Election day is on May 29.
