Most city facilities closed on Monday

This upcoming Monday is Victoria Day and for most that means a day off, this includes services offered by the City of Lethbridge.

City offices and departments that will be closed on May 22 include the Lethbridge 311 office. Customer service specialists will return to the office on Tuesday. Residents are still able to access the 24/7 self-service site for any questions that may arise.

The Waste and Recycling Centre will also be closed on Monday, however yard waste sites will be open.

Pools and arenas will also be closed for the holiday except for the Stan Siwick Pool, which will have an open swim from 1-4 p.m. and a lane swim from 4-5 p.m.

Community Animal Services will be closed during the holiday and to make sure any lost pets are returned home, residents are encouraged to contact the shelter ahead of time to discuss a pick up time.

In regards to transit and Access-A-Ride, transit will be running on the holiday schedule and booking and customer service will be closed for Access-A-Ride but service hours will still be the same.

The Galt Museum and Helen Schuler Nature Centre will both be closed and Fort Whoop Up is still currently closed for the season.

Residents looking to head to the library on Monday, will be out of luck, as all branches of the Lethbridge Public Library will also be closed.
