Lethbridge Police and Alberta Sheriffs issued 54 tickets during a weekend traffic enforcement project.
Along with issuing tickets, two drivers were also charged with impaired driving.
This traffic enforcement project is an initiative to provide safer roads for all users by targeting speeding, impaired driving, excessive vehicle noise, racing, stunting and other illegal behaviours.
The similar initiative took place last summer and resulted in a decrease of traffic complaints.
Officers with the Traffic Response Unit will continue to provide a police presence over the next few months.
