A 19-year-old Lethbridge man is facing child porn and sexual assault charges in connection to the assault of a 13-year-old girl. Lethbridge police say the victim was assaulted and videos were recorded and shared online.
Officers responded to a report the girl was missing on June 22, around 7 a.m. and located her inside a vehicle with a man at a northside park.
“The girl was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital and the male was taken into custody,” reads a news release from the Lethbridge Police Service. “Further investigation determined the victim had been unconscious when she was sexually assaulted and videos of the incident were recorded and appeared to have been made available in a message screen for distribution on social media.”
Sean Cedric Bilo faces charges including sexual assault, sexual interference, making child pornography, distributing child pornography, possession of child pornography and luring a child.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 5.
