The case against a southern Alberta woman accused of trying to send a kitten and a puppy in the mail… making a brief appearance in a Lethbridge courtroom Tuesday (July 30).
53 year old Jill Marshall was charged in June with two counts of causing an animal to be in distress, under Alberta’s Animal Protection Act.
Vulcan County Enforcement Services says a woman attempted to mail the small animals in a cardboard box at a post office in Milo. The puppy and kitten even had stamps put on them.
Marshall’s lawyer had the case adjourned to August 27 in order to receive disclosure on the matter.
