Charges have been laid in relation to a high risk incident on the north side Tuesday night.
At around 8pm, officers responded to reports of a barricaded man at the Highland Park Townhomes along 20th street north.
Members of the Critical Incident Response Team say it was isolated to one unit in the complex.
Roads in the area were blocked for a few hours but reopened to the public around 11pm.
30 year old Harold Wilkins of St. Johns New Brunswick has been charged with assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, resisting arrest and mischief to property under $5,000.
He’s currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
