Bridge replacement in Lethbridge County to start on Monday

Bridge replacement in Lethbridge County is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 8.

The bridge being replaced is around 1.5 kilometres east of the City of Lethbridge at the intersection of Township Road 8-4, also known as Brown Road, and Range Road 21-1, known as Howe Road.

The bridge was constructed back in 1960 and was identified for replacement under the County’s annual bridge replacement program, which is funded through the 2023 Capital Budget.

The bridge will be replaced by twin culverts which will help to give a smoother access for agricultural equipment.

During the bridge replacement, access to Township Road 8-4 will be closed along Range Road 21-1 with detours in place.

The project expected to be completed by the end of the month, with weather permitting.
