Residents across southern Alberta are being advised of a weather system that is expected to not only bring colder temperatures, but a significant amount of snow.
According to Environment Canada, the system is expected to start in west-central Alberta during the evening of Tuesday, March 19th and will then travel southeast on Wednesday and Thursday. Over the first 48 hours, it is expected that the snowfall will total between 15 to 25 centimetres in some southern parts of the province.
According to Environment Canada, snowfall warnings are likely to be issued and cold air is anticipated to continue through the weekend and into next week.
