UPDATE: Foothills woman victim of fatal multi-vehicle collision Tuesday

UPDATE: A 61-year-old woman from Foothills County was declared deceased after a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 845. Just before 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday Coaldale RCMP announced the stretch of road closed to investigate the collision has since re-opened.

A multi-vehicle collision is blocking part of Highway 845 by Nolan’s Bridge and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

As of 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17th, Coaldale RCMP reported officers were on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision that involved three vehicles. According to police Highway 845, south of Highway 519, on Nolan’s Bridge is blocked off and traffic is being rerouted. Officials also report that an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist is on scene.

RCMP officials say they will release more information when it is available.
