Lethbridge College names Applied Research Chair in Virtual and Augmented Reality

Lethbridge College appointing its first Applied Research Chair in Virtual and Augmented Reality.

Mike McCready has been an instructor with the Multimedia Production program since 2015 and was a driving force behind the creation and development of the college’s new VR/AR program.

He says his role will be to identify how virtual and augmented reality can benefit industry and create solutions to implement it in those businesses.

The college’s new VR/AR program launches this fall.

McCready will hold his position as Applied Research Chair for a year.

A Lethbridge College alumnus, Tina moved back to the community two years after convocation, in September 2007, to become a member of the CJOC News Team. She started as a weekend reporter/anchor and now serves as Associate News Director.
