Lethbridge community survey starting around organics collection

Lethbridge residents can share their thoughts on organic waste collection as a telephone survey on the issue starts Tuesday (Sept. 3).

Ipsos is conducting the poll and the survey should take ten to fifteen minutes.

The City of Lethbridge says results will give insight into the community’s thoughts on year-round organics collection service as well as other organic diversion programs.

In November 2016, City Council directed administration to prepare a plan for a curbside organics program to be brought forward for consideration after the implementation of curbside recycling.

The proposal is expected to come before council this fall.
