Chinook High School student awarded $120K scholarship

A student from Chinook High School has been named the recipient of the Schulich Leader Scholarship to study science at Western University in London Ontario. Jay Chaudhary was nominated for the $120,000 scholarship by Amanda McMahon at Chinook High School who cited his outstanding academic achievements along with his extra-curricular achievements.

McMahon says the Chinook community is extremely proud of Chaudhary’s achievements that have stemmed from his hard work and efforts while he attended Chinook High School.

“Your dedication to your studies in combination with your determination and grit have made you successful. We all are excited to see the amazing great things you will continue to do,” McMahon says.

Chaudhary received one of 100 scholarships, which include 50 engineering scholarships worth $120,000 each and 50 science, technology or math scholarships worth $100,000 each.
