City of Lethbridge crews will be re-painting parking lines downtown starting tonight. This work, anticipated to take until Wednesday evening and weather permitting, will be completed in the evenings to minimize parking and business disruptions.
Except for 6 Street South, between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue, only angle parking stall lines and accessibility stalls will be re-painted this year.
According to the City, parallel lines will be re-painted next year.
Some parklets and patios will need to be temporarily removed to allow the line re-painting to be completed. Some areas with larger structures, such as Blanco on 6 Street, will be painted around.
“For those who park on the street overnight, we ask you find alternative parking to allow crews to paint as many lines as possible,” says the City.
