RCMP charge Brocket resident after drug search warrant executed

On July 10, Piikani Nation RCMP executed a drug search warrant at a residence on 14 Street in Brocket, after information was received there was ongoing drug trafficking occurring at the residence. 

As a result of the warrant, Piikani Nation RCMP seized the following: 

  • Drug packaging 
  • Score sheets 
  • Multiple pre-loaded syringes 
  • 2 grams of suspected fentanyl 
  • 1.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine 
  • Other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia

Piikani Nation RCMP have arrested and charged a 30-year-old Brocket resident with the following: 

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl 
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine 
  • Possession of Items Used in the Trafficking of a Schedule – I Substance 
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

The person has been released on an Undertaking for court Sept. 5 at Alberta Court of Justice in Pincher Creek.
