Kevin Slomp unofficially wins Lethbridge County division 5 by-election

Kevin Slomp will represent constituents Lethbridge County’s Division 5 after unofficially getting the nod in the September 9th by-election.

According to county officials, Slomp received 163 votes, compared to 27 cast in favour of David Bishop. In all, 190 votes were cast in the by-election, which was called after the resignation of former Councillor Eric Van Essen, due to his moving out of the area.

Division 5 is in the northwest portion of the County, including Monarch and the area surrounding the Town of Nobleford and Village of Barons. Results will not be ratified as official until Friday, September 13 at 12:00 p.m.
