The hand-fed babies in our store absolutely love attention! They’re extremely friendly and very social birds.
There are around 45 different types of conures, which come in a wide array of color variations. They always have a distinctive thin white ring around their eyes. Green-cheeked conures are one of the most popular types and make loving feathered companions.
Like most parrots, their DNA needs to be tested to determine if they’re male or female—or, you can simply wait and see if they lay an egg!
Conures are highly intelligent, good-natured birds native to Mexico, Central, and South America. They’re playful and can be taught tricks quickly, especially when treats are involved 😉
Though their voices aren’t as clear as some larger parrots, conures are capable of learning words and phrases with some training. They also produce a variety of interesting sounds.
