Lethbridge Police need help identifying unknown woman in connection with alleged assault

Lethbridge Police are asking for help to identify an unknown woman in connection with the assault of an employee at a northside store.

On Sept. 28, just before 6 p.m., an unknown woman attended the customer service desk to return an item at Walmart along the 3100 Block of 26 Avenue North. While staff were processing the transaction, the female became impatient and began to cause a disturbance.

She was asked to leave and subsequently struck an employee in the side of the head with a tablet causing non-life-threatening injuries. The woman then fled from the store.

The incident was recorded on video surveillance.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information that could assist in the investigation is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24019512. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
