A new exhibit has been unveiled at the University of Lethbridge (U of L) Art Gallery.
The exhibition, titled Untelling can be seen in the Hess Gallery and is by Niitsítapi (member of the Kainai First Nation) artist Lauren Crazybull. In Untelling, the Dené artist engages with Nicholas de Grandmaison’s artworks from the U of L art collection. Crazybull uses portraiture to capture moments of contemporary Blackfoot life.
The U of L says in her work, the artist, who currently lives in Vancouver, considers Indigenous presence and multiplicity through paintings.
Untelling, curated by Josephine Mills, is at the U of L Art Gallery from October 4, 2024 to January 11, 2025.
More on Crazybull’s exhibit and other exhibitions at the U of L Art Gallery are available at the facility’s website.
