According to RCMP officials, on Monday morning a member of the Piikani Nation RCMP pulled the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Additionally, the driver is reportedly breaking the conditions of a release order to have no contact with a passenger in the vehicle.
Police found a half ounce of what they suspect to be fentanyl and 3.6 grams of what they suspect to be meth. According to police, the majority of the fentanyl seized was shaped like puzzle pieces, which officials say is concerning because the drug could be mistaken as a toy or candy.
