Looking for feedback: Province works towards 2025 Alberta Budget

The Government of Alberta is turning to the public for input on what matters to them for the 2025 budget.

On Tuesday, the province will launch a survey, and the responses will help provincial leaders set the financial priorities for the next fiscal year. The survey will be open until January 12th. Along with the questionnaire, the province will also hold a telephone town hall on Wednesday.

According to a news release, those with “publicly listed phone numbers may receive a phone call or message inviting them to join”. Otherwise, it can be listened to online and questions can be submitted through a live discussion forum.

During the engagement period ahead of the 2024 budget, the province is reported to have received more than 160 submissions, which included roughly 150 not-for-profit organizations and chambers of commerce groups. The government also received 17,913 survey submissions and 27,808 people attended a telephone town hall.

The 2025 budget will be released before the end of February.
