The number of people unemployed in the economic region which includes Lethbridge was down slightly in November.
According to Statistics Canada, in November 6.2 per cent of people were unemployed in the Lethbridge and Medicine Hat region, which is down 0.6 per cent drop compared to the previous month. However, it is up nearly two per cent from the 4.3 per cent reported in November of last year.
The Banff – Jasper – Rocky Mountain House and Athabasca – Grande Prairie – Peace River region reported the lowest unemployment rate in the province 4 per cent, while Edmonton’s unemployment rate was the highest with 7.4 per cent.
