Cardston and Fort Macleod join Electric Vehicle Charging Network

Southern Alberta powering up two more electric charging stations this week.

The stations, in Cardston and Fort Macleod, are the latest additions to the Peaks to Prairies Project.

It’s an initiative that aims to establish an electric vehicle charging network across the region – connecting communities from the Crowsnest Pass to Medicine Hat, Pincher Creek to Calgary and west to Canmore.

The new stations in Cardston and Fort Macleod are strategically located to ensure easy access to amenities and local attractions.

All Peaks to Prairies stations are installed, owned and operated by ATCO.

DC fast charging stations allow a vehicle to charge form 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes while Level 2 charging stations take four to six hours for an 80% charge.
