Westside porch fire causes $20K in damage

The cause of a porch fire on the city’s west side that caused roughly $20,000 in property damage is under investigation.

According to Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services officials, crews responded to the structure fire on Temple Crescent West just after 8 p.m. Thursday. When firefighters arrived they found the fire on the front porch spreading towards the building’s attic.

According to officials, the fire was quickly brought under control with no injuries reported.
