Man arrested in connection with alleged arson in downtown Lethbridge

Lethbridge Police arrested a suspect connected to an alleged arson over the weekend. 

The LPS says early Saturday, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services crews responded to the blaze at a building on the 600 block of 3 Avenue South.

Officials note the incident caused “extensive damage” to the building, but did not report any injuries. 

The LPS put out a call for help to identify the suspect and hours later, said a suspect was arrested. The man’s name has not been released, and police continue to investigate.
