Taber man facing mischief charges following alleged floral incident

A Taber man is facing mischief charges after allegedly attempting to break into a local store.

According to Taber Police officials, around 2:45 Saturday morning officers received several 911 calls about a man who reportedly was destroying property at a local grocery store. The man, who police say was intoxicated at the time, was arrested without incident.

According to police, the damage done during the incident is extensive. The man is accused of having destroyed multiple metal shelving units and potted flowers and also tried to break into the store by throwing a metal shelving unit at the pane-glass windows. The damage is believed to be extensive.

The 25-year-old man from Taber was released on a Release Order.
