Volunteer Lethbridge introduces new executive director

Sandi Davis is the new executive director at Volunteer Lethbridge.

Acting Board President Moya Johnson says Volunteer Lethbridge celebrates over 40 years of service to the Lethbridge and southern Alberta community. “Volunteerism and community engagement are at the core of what we do. We are confident in Sandi’s leadership and expertise, as we embark on this new chapter together.”

Born and raised in southern Alberta, Davis brings a deep-rooted passion for community and an impressive track record of leadership.

With over 12 years of experience as executive director at the Fort Museum of the North West Mounted Police and First Nations Interpretive Centre, Davis has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting local organizations, building community partnerships and leading with vision and heart.

Davis has also volunteered with the Fort Macleod Skating Club, F.P. Walshe Sports Council, Fort Macleod Cadets, the Cultural Heritage Tourism Alliance, Chinook Country Tourist Association and most recently on the 150th Anniversary Committee for the RCMP in Fort Macleod in 2023 and the 150th Anniversary Committee for Fort Macleod in 2024 to plan and implement celebrations in Fort Macleod.

“Collaboration doesn’t begin until everyone enters the room,” notes Davis, who started in the new role Monday.

“Within my previous role, I did work a lot with community organizations and not-for-profits in Lethbridge, so I’m familiar with some faces I’ll be working with,” adds Davis. “I’m very excited to get to know more of the members and the community, as I start my new adventures.”

Davis has been busy this week getting to know the successes Volunteer Lethbridge has already established. “And where I’m able to jump in and support the organization and looking forward to how we can start building some new opportunities for the community, volunteers and even potentially some new members to join Volunteer Lethbridge. So we can enhance our community and region.”

According to Davis, she is excited to support the wonderful organizations in the area. “Most of all, getting to know the amazing volunteers that give their time, energy and talents to Lethbridge.”
