Starting Monday repair work on a pedestrian ramp on the city’s west side is expected to impact drivers and pedestrians.
According to City of Lethbridge officials, while the repair work to the ramp located at the southeast corner of University Drive and Heritage Boulevard West is ongoing pedestrians are being re-routed to Heritage Crescent West. The pedestrian tunnel underneath University Drive will not be affected.
As well there will be intermittent single-lane closures on University Drive. Drivers will be able to head north and southbound through the intersection at a reduced speed, but will not be able to access eastbound Heritage Boulevard West from University Drive or Garry Drive West. Drivers are encouraged to be cautious while on the road and follow all posted signage.
