A Lethbridge man faces a handful of charges after police say they confiscated over 4,000 doses of fentanyl.Â
Just before midnight on May 11th, officers were patrolling along the 100 block of Mayor Magrath Drive North when an officer spotted an unsecured wash bay door and a man laying underneath it.Â
Police say the man was woken up, then gave a fake name to police before resisting arrest and trying to run away from the scene. He was caught a short distance away.Â
LPS says a search of the suspect led to officers seizing just over 400 grams of fentanyl (roughly 4,000 individual doses), close to 600 grams of cannabis, 41 grams of cannabis seeds, cash proceeds of crime and a conducted energy weapon.Â

Police add that the 4,000 doses of fentanyl is worth about $80,000.Â
Jade Levi Trotter, a 39-year-old from Lethbridge, is charged with:Â
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of traffickingÂ
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of unlawful distributionÂ
- Intention to possess, produce, sell or distribute illicit cannabisÂ
- Break and enterÂ
- Obstructing a peace officerÂ
- Resisting a peace officerÂ
- Assaulting a peace officerÂ
- Possession of a prohibited weaponÂ
- Trafficking in property or proceeds of crimeÂ
The suspect has been remanded in custody. Trotter is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday, May 13.Â
