Making ghosting a reality: Suspect comments on his own RCMP wanted posting

A tip from the public led to the arrest of a Fort MacLeod man, who is facing drug-related charges.

According to RCMP officials, on May 20th members of the RCMP Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and the Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a Granum home after receiving a tip that a man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant was inside.

The RCMP posted the 29-year-old man’s wanted poster on April 23rd and the suspect is said to have commented on his own wanted post with a “Booo” and a ghost emoji; adding, “What was once a ghosting, is now a reality!”

The Fort Macleod man was taken into custody for his outstanding warrants, along with additional charges for possession of both meth and fentanyl along with failing to comply with a probation order. He has since been remanded into custody.
