Pair facing charges connected to guns, drugs seized in the Crowsnest Pass

Two people are facing charges connected to the seizure of drugs and weapons in the Crowsnest Pass.

According to police officials, on June 27th, a search warrant was executed on a home and vehicle in the area of Tecumseh Drive in Crowsnest Pass. Members of the Crowsnest Pass RCMP detachment, along with members of the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Service and Crime Reduction Teams and supported by ALERT SCAN resources were part of the execution of the search warrant, that was the result of an investigation under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Police arrested four people during the search and seized, seven guns, ammunition, cocaine, crack cocaine, psilocybin, a molten vehicle and stolen lottery tickets.

A 48-year-old man from the Crowsnest Pass is a handful of charges including trafficking a controlled substance and weapons offences.

As well a 48-year-old woman is facing charges for possession of property obtained by crime.
