Disruptions along 5 Street South to begin Monday

Starting Monday and until July 9, City of Lethbridge crews will be conducting geotechnical drilling (boreholes) at 11 locations.

As part of the Reimagine 5 Street South project, testing will take place that may cause minor disruptions along 5 Street South, between 1 Avenue and 6 Avenue.

“Each drill site will require temporary lane and/or parking closures to ensure the safety of both the public and crews. Parking restrictions will be implemented the night before each closure to prevent vehicles from being trapped within the work zones. Once drilling at each location is complete, parking will be reopened for public use,” the City notes.

Remember to follow posted signs and short-term no-parking notices.
