Celebrate Barons Family Day this Saturday

Spend July 5 with the family in Barons for Barons Family Day.

It all kicks off this Saturday with a pancake breakfast and farmers’ market at the Barons Community Centre, followed by a Candy Parade at 11 a.m.

Participants can line up on Railway Avenue for judging starting at 9:30 a.m.

Admission to the pancake breaky is by donation to the Food Bank.

Activities are planned all day with craft and hobby displays, a thrift shop and Show and Shine at the Drop-In Centre.

After the parade, the Show and Shine gets rolling on Main Street until 3 p.m.

The Barons Legion will have meat draws, horseshoes, lawn games and a beer garden.

Celebrate 25 years at the Barons Historical Centre with coffee and treats available.

Also celebrate 100 years with the Barons United Church. There will be a silent auction and artifacts and displays, as well.

The event will also feature a Kids Zone east of the Community Hall with a slate of scheduled activities, including a wheelbarrow race, three-legged race, sack race and egg/spoon race.

Check out the poster below for a full list of activities.
