Fort Macleod Health Centre to temporarily close Sunday

On Sunday, the Fort Macleod Health Centre Emergency Department will temporarily close from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., due to a planned emergency shutdown.

According to Alberta Health Services, during the temporary closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents.

Public health appointments will be paused Aug. 18, as a result of the power shutdown and will resume Aug. 19.

Patients are asked to call 9-11 if they have a medical emergency. EMS calls will be rerouted to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 8-1-1 for non-emergency health-related questions.
