Two men charged with robbery after incidents at mall parking lot

Lethbridge Police laying charges after two people reported being robbed in the Park Place Mall parking lot Tuesday night.

The first man telling officers he was cleaning snow off his car just before 9:30 pm when he was approached by two unknown men who demanded his wallet and then bear sprayed him.

He got away in his vehicle and called police.

A second man, sitting in the front passenger seat of a nearby car, was approached by the same two suspects who demanded his cell phone.

He too was able to get away in a vehicle.

21 year old Chance Bennett of Calgary and 20 year old Bak Nyang of Medicine Hat have each been charged with two counts of robbery.

They’ve been released from custody to appear in court next Wednesday.
