Free Lethbridge Transit to vote Municipal Election Day Oct. 20

On Municipal Election Day Oct. 20, the City of Lethbridge will be offering free transit service to and from voting stations to assist residents to vote.

“This initiative is intended to ensure residents have convenient and free access to polling stations throughout the final day of the voting period,” the City notes.

For Access-A-Ride users, free service will apply for trips to and from the polling locations.

You can head to a voting station from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday for advance voting.

Until Oct. 18, there will be two voting stations:

  • Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre
  • Cor Van Raay YMCA at the Cavendish Farms Centre
  • On Oct. 20 – those two stations will be open, as well as a third site at the Trinity Reformed Church

If, because of a physical disability, you’re unable to attend a voting station, you may request to vote at your home Oct. 20.

Arrangements for this service need to be made by Friday by calling 3-1-1.
