Granum residents vote to dissolve Town, aim to be part of MD of Willow Creek

Residents in Granum have voted to dissolve their town and become part of the Municipal District of Willow Creek.

The results of the vote will be included in a Viability Report to be reviewed by Alberta’s Municipal Affairs Minister who will make the final decision.

The MD of Willow Creek says it will wholeheartedly welcome the new citizens into its community should a Ministerial Order be issued to dissolve the Town of Granum.

Public consultations would also be held with Granum residents on important issues like public infrastructure, governance and representation , public services and community institutions.
