Two men charged in garage break-in incidents in Taber

Two men from Taber face charges after an attempted garage break-in.

According to Taber Police Service officials, shortly before 7 a.m. on Nov. 20, officers responded to a call about an attempted break-and-enter at a residential garage, but the suspects fled when the homeowner confronted them. Police said the two men were wearing face coverings.

Later that evening, officers arrested one of the suspects. The next morning around 6 a.m., police received a report that the second man had broken into another residential garage and stolen several items. He was arrested a few hours later.

A 30-year-old man is charged with break-and-enter. The second man, a 37-year-old, faces charges including theft, fraud and resisting a peace officer. Both have been remanded into custody.
