Brighter Together survey to gather feedback on local business landscape

Local businesses are invited to share their feedback as part of the annual Brighter Together survey. The initiative is a partnership between Economic Development Lethbridge, the Downtown BRZ, and the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce.

It aims to capture a snapshot of what is working for local business owners and some of the challenges they face.

Last year, the sixth edition of the survey revealed that 63 per cent of businesses who responded were optimistic about the health of their business.

The most recent edition of the survey was filled out by 126 Lethbridge businesses, which officials said at the time represented about 22.5 per cent of employees working in the city.

The biggest pros to doing business in Lethbridge were listed as the quality of life and collaborative environment.

The top challenges were cited as the cost of utilities and the municipal tax environment. Employee retention was listed as a goal for many of the responding businesses.

Businesses have until December 12 to complete the latest edition of the Brighter Together survey. The 2025 questionnaire is available online.
