Aggie Days returning to Lethbridge in 2026

A popular event is making a grand return to Lethbridge after a long absence.

Aggie Days, an educational event focused on agriculture, will be at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre March 25-26, 2026.

The last time Aggie Days was held in the community was 2019, as the 2020 event had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officials with the Lethbridge & District Agricultural Society say the event was unable to return until now due to financial concerns.

For 2026, the LDAS is teaming up with the non-profit Agriculture for Life to bring the event back. Excite Lethbridge will also partner on the program by providing show production services and venue space.

Aggie Days will offer educational displays for local students in grades four to six. Students will be able to check out different exhibits and speak with professionals in the industry.

“[We’re] looking to get around 1,000 students over the two days,” says Cody McIntosh, the newly named director of the LDAS.

“We’ve got the right group running this, we’ve got the right facility here in Lethbridge and we’ve got a lot of excitement from these students.”

He adds that Agriculture for Life will have an interactive trailer “that the kids can go through and see what life on the farm is like”.

“Helping both urban and rural audiences learn what goes into agriculture, where their food comes from and how agriculture affects their lives is a key part of our mandate,” says Lewis Baarda, chair of the LDAS board of directors.

“We know this will be a great event and we’re excited to spread the excitement of agriculture in our community.”

Meanwhile, CEO for Excite Lethbridge Kim Gallucci says he is so happy to see the partnership between the different organizations pay off so well right off the bat.

“This partnership between [the] Lethbridge & District Agricultural Society, Agriculture for Life and Excite Lethbridge is a testament to how organizations can work together to create meaningful events for our community,” Gallucci states.

Officials note that the LDAS and Agriculture for Life are working directly with local school districts to give classes, students and teachers the chance to be a part of the event.

Aggie Days is set for March 25-26, 2026 at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre.
