Hop on over to Lethbridge’s ultimate evening of art

On Jan. 24, don’t miss a winter evening filled with art, inspiration and community at the 5-Stop Gallery Hop.

Art enthusiasts can explore the downtown Lethbridge arts scene by wandering through participating galleries at their own pace, while experiencing artistic discoveries.

This year’s hop features the Trianon Gallery, the L.A. Gallery, the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, Casa and the Legend Gallery.

Each location will showcase a wide-variety of work by southern Alberta artists, including painting, photography, ceramics and mixed media.

Participants can pick up a map at featured locations and get it stamped to enter a draw.

Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge Manager of Engagement Will Big Bull says this is a great opportunity for folks who have yet to visit some of these spaces to do so, and the average gallery goer can come and view what’s new on exhibit.

“We’re always adding more members into the arts community and giving people the opportunity to be a part of something unique and a little bit outside the box,” Big Bull explains. “These are the kind of things we like to do and initiatives we like to get people involved in.”

According to Big Bull, Lethbridge’s art scene is very vibrant, and at the moment, “going through a lot of change.”

“There’s new artists coming to the city in forms of residencies, and there’s students here, as well as people bringing their talents,” adds Big Bull.

Trying to consolidate all of the different artists and their talents into one place is a difficult thing to do, notes Big Bull.

“That’s why we believe being able to bring people over to places like Casa is a great start. From there, we have our various associates and allies we like to connect people to.”

“From our end and what we see, it’s really a vibrant scene right now, and we believe there’s more yet to come in 2026,” Big Bull says.

The 5-Stop Gallery Hop runs this Saturday from 5-9 p.m.
