Primary Care Alberta updates online resource hub

An online hub for health resources in Alberta has been revamped to improve access.

Primary Care Alberta says its ‘InformAlberta’ site saw 2.47 million views in 2025, helping connect residents with over 9,000 services. The service has been available since 2003.

The site has been redesigned to improve flow and accessibility. The new design launched on January 20 and includes improved search tools and a mobile-friendly design, allowing Albertans to find health services in their community at any time.

Some services listed on the site include mental health support programs and food banks to community programs, and government agencies equipped to address various needs.

Officials say the previous design was built on older technology, creating difficulties for users searching for services.

Additionally, the original site was not built to support a mobile design. The new mobile-friendly hub also allows users to find health care options available virtually or by phone.

“Albertans want information that is easy to find and easy to access,” says Kim Simmonds, CEO of Primary Care Alberta. “This redesign improves how people find services and supports – whether they’re at home, on the go, or supporting a loved one.”

InformAlberta is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at informalberta.ca.
