RCMP investigating Vauxhall bank robbery

Mounties are looking for a suspect after a bank branch was robbed Friday (Nov. 15) in Vauxhall.

It happened at the Scotiabank in that town.

RCMP say around 1:45 pm Friday, a man walked into the bank and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then took off.

No one was injured and no weapons were shown during the robbery.

Extensive patrols were made by Taber RCMP with the assistance of Coaldale and Brooks RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services, but the suspect was not located.

The male suspect is described as:

  • Approximately 5’8” to 5’10”
  • Slender in stature

Suspect was wearing:

  • Blue Jeans
  • Orange and Yellow Reflective Vest
  • New York Yankees Ball Cap
  • A Balaklava and gloves
