Applications open for Interfaith Food Bank board of directors

The Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge is looking for board members.

The society has two open spots to be filled on its Board of Directors. The chosen candidates will serve two-year terms, starting in April.

The Interfaith board functions in a governance role, offering oversight to the food bank. To be eligible to serve on the board, membership with the society is required.

Annual memberships are available online for $5.

Officials say the food bank is looking for board members with experience in corporate environments, community engagement, legal, fundraising, and client advocacy.

The society says it welcomes applicants aged 18 to 30-years-old, as well as those who identify as Indigenous.

Application forms for the board of directors and other volunteer positions are available at the Interfaith Food Bank website.
