Over $446K raised during Care from the Heart Day Radio-a-thon

The 16th annual Care from the Heart Day Radio-a-thon was a major success.

Local radio stations teamed up to help raise funds for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation and the Bringing Hearts Home Cardiac Campaign.

The goal was to raise $300,000 through the Radio-a-thon.

That goal was smashed, with the event raising $446,384 by day’s end.

The Bringing Hearts Home Cardiac Campaign aims to improve cardiac care in southern Alberta, with two main projects being the construction of new cardiac care centres in both Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The campaign’s goal is to raise $30 million.

More details about the initiative are available at the CRH Foundation website.
