The community banded together in Lethbridge to support those who are hurt, hungry and do not have a home.
The annual Coldest Night of the Year took place on Saturday, Feb. 28, with two fundraising walks held in Lethbridge.
An event at Henderson Lake Park helped collect funds for Wood’s Homes, which operates the Emergency Youth Shelter that serves people aged 12 to 17 who are facing or are at risk of homelessness.
In total, $13,723 was raised with 14 teams and 78 walkers involved.
Meanwhile, Streets Alive Mission hosted its walk in the downtown core of Lethbridge.

Streets Alive offers different programs for unhoused individuals, including an emergency food pantry. More on the group’s programs are available on the Streets Alive website.
