Helen Schuler Nature Centre celebrates spring with annual Nature Fest

On Friday, the Helen Schuler Nature Centre invites you to celebrate the change of seasons at Spring Nature Fest.

This annual free family festival will offer opportunities to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lethbridge’s River Valley with interactive activities by the Oldman Watershed Council, Lethbridge Polytechnic Early Childhood Education Program, the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, the Galt Museum and Archives and Fort Whoop-Up.

Spring Nature Fest offers a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including geocaching, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts and a loose parts playground.

Jessica Deacon-Rogers says the arrival of spring has everyone buzzing with excitement. “Spring Nature Fest is the perfect chance for families to step outside and soak up the magic of the season— from the subtle shifts in the landscape to the unmistakable signs spring is popping up everywhere you look.”

Helen Schuler’s Main Gallery exhibition features Winter Wild Neighbours – an interactive exhibit designed to teach visitors about local wildlife that share our cities, parks and backyards.

Spring Nature Fest runs 1-5 p.m.
